(CT) - According to the Department of Finance of Can Tho City, in the first 6 months of 2025, the whole city had 1,957 newly registered enterprises. Along with the increase in the number of enterprises due to the merger of 3 localities, the total newly registered capital of enterprises reached over 10,628 billion VND.

The Department of Finance also recorded that 415 enterprises returned to operation after a period of temporary suspension. This shows the efforts and adaptability of enterprises to market fluctuations. However, the summary report also recorded that 162 enterprises completed dissolution procedures and 1,093 enterprises registered to temporarily suspend operations.

By the end of June, Can Tho City had 20,383 active businesses, forming a strong business community, making important contributions to the city's overall socio -economic development. The strong increase in newly established businesses and registered capital are positive signs, creating momentum for the city's development in the final months of the year.
