VTV Cup opens with great excitement, Vietnam team confident of victory

At 7:00 p.m. on June 28, VTV Cup 2025 officially opened at Vinh Phuc Stadium ( Phu Tho ). This is a tournament that always receives special attention from experts and fans. Two representatives of host Vietnam, Tran Thi Thanh Thuy and Pham Quynh Huong, were honored to receive the Cup. The Vietnamese women's volleyball team is the reigning runner-up of the tournament. This time, Thanh Thuy and her teammates are determined to win the Championship Cup. VTV Cup 2025 takes place from June 28 to July 5 with 8 teams, divided into two groups. Group A: Vietnam, Philippines, Sichuan Club (China) and Australia; Group B: U21 Vietnam, Korabelka Club (Russia), Taiwan (China) and U21 Thailand.
Teams compete in a round robin to determine rankings.
In the next round, the first team of group A will meet the fourth team of group B, the first team of group B will meet the fourth team of group A, the second team of group A will meet the third team of group B, the second team of group B will meet the third team of group A, then the teams that will enter the final will be determined. Compared to the AVC Nations Cup 2025, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet has the only personnel change in the Libero position (Nguyen Thi Ninh Anh replaces Luu Thi Ly Ly). Coach Tuan Kiet affirmed that he will make higher professional demands on his students, because right after VTV Cup 2025, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team will enter important international tournaments, notably the World Cup and SEA Games.
