On June 29, in Ho Chi Minh City, CT Group officially launched the ADC (Analog-to-Digital Converter) chip design, an electronic chip that converts analog signals into digital signals, called CTDA200M, with 12-bit resolution and a sampling rate of up to 200 MSPS.

This is considered the first 12-bit chip design with a sample rate of 200 MSPS in Vietnam, designed by the Diginal team (a member of CT Group); this chip will be manufactured by TSMC of Taiwan (China) from July 2025, then packaged and completed at CT Semiconductor's ATP semiconductor chip factory in November 2025 and commercialized in December 2025.

According to Mr. Tran Kim Chung, Chairman of CT Group, the creation of the chip design is the group's answer to developing core technology in Vietnam.

Although the ADC chip is a difficult chip that usually takes 2 years to design, it was implemented by the company team in a record short time (6 months) in the spirit of Resolution 57.

The CTDA200M chip will be used in many industries such as defense, security, transportation... especially this is an important chip in digital transformation.

Mr. Tran Kim Chung added that the group will continue to build a complete semiconductor industry in Vietnam from design to lithography, assembly and testing.

Currently, CT Group is in the process of transferring photolithography technology, while waiting for the government to buy a photolithography machine; this is a photolithography machine that the government will spend part of the money to buy and the unit will coordinate with Viettel to carry out this technology transfer project.

The Chairman of CT Group pledged to develop Vietnam's semiconductor industry in accordance with the leaders' wishes and will take on the task with the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to turn Ho Chi Minh City into a leading semiconductor city.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, said that the launch of the chip design contributes to realizing Vietnam's aspiration to master core technology.

Ho Chi Minh City highly appreciates and will always accompany, support, and create the most favorable conditions for Vietnamese technology enterprises to develop and reach the world .

Notably, CT Group's semiconductor companies, CT Semiconductor and Digital, are run by a team of international experts with many years of experience in this field.

According to an industry expert, the commercialization of the chip will be a question mark, as hiring TSMC to produce it is often very expensive, and this type of chip is currently very popular in the world.

However, if chip production serves national security and defense, commercialization is only a part; being proactive in ensuring security and confidentiality is important.

Therefore, if the chip design team is purely Vietnamese, it will decide to ensure security and safety for domestic chips.
