The ship opens the 2025-2026 international cruise season, continuing to affirm the growth of Chinese tourists at the end of the year.
The Blue Dream Melody (Chinese nationality) operates the Beihai - Ha Long - Beihai route, bringing the group of tourists to Ha Long on November 14. After docking at the port, tourists are organized to visit Ha Long Bay, city tour and cultural - historical sites of the province before leaving the port to continue the cruise.

The return of the Bac Hai - Ha Long cruise route shows a clear sign of recovery in the East Asia cruise market, while also expanding the source of international visitors to Quang Ninh during the peak season. This is also an important step to help the locality consolidate its position on the regional sea tourism map.
According to the plan, in the 2025 - 2026 cruise season, there will be 9 trips from Bac Hai to Ha Long. The regular frequency of exploitation is expected to bring a stable source of customers, in the context of Chinese tourists returning to Quang Ninh strongly by both sea and air.
Since the beginning of November, Van Don International Airport has also restored the Shenzhen - Van Don charter route, with flights scheduled to operate on the 1st, 6th, 10th, 15th, 20th and 24th of the month. The synergy between these two important connecting routes comes at a time when the province is implementing a year-end tourism stimulus program with the theme "Quang Ninh - Experience Heritage, Connect the World ", contributing to supporting the goal of welcoming 20 million visitors in 2025, including 4.5 million international visitors.
By the end of October 2025, Ha Long International Passenger Port had welcomed 44 cruise ships with more than 56,600 passengers, an increase of 9% over the same period last year. Tourists mainly came from Europe, the US and China - reflecting the strong recovery trend of the luxury cruise tourism segment. With synchronous infrastructure, convenient pick-up and drop-off locations and international operating standards, Ha Long International Passenger Port is increasingly becoming a familiar stopover for major shipping lines in the world.

Mr. Pham Van Hiep, Director of Ha Long International Passenger Port, said: “The Blue Dream Melody cruise opens the new cruise tourism season, which is also a signal of the vitality of the Chinese tourist market. We will continue to cooperate with international shipping lines and travel agencies to expand cruise routes, diversify products and bring safe and convenient experiences to tourists when coming to Quang Ninh.”
The event to welcome the Blue Dream Melody ship also took place at a time when Quang Ninh province simultaneously deployed cultural - sports - tourism activities at the end of the year, thereby enhancing the attraction of Ha Long to international visitors. Service operators at the port were also required to strengthen coordination, ensure service procedures, security and convenient tour connections for cruise ship tourists.
The day before, at 10:00 a.m. on November 13, the super yacht Celebrity Solstice (Malta nationality) docked at Ha Long International Passenger Port, carrying 2,756 passengers mainly from Europe and North America. The ship was on a long voyage through Asia: Singapore - Koh Samui (Thailand) - Laem Chabang (Thailand) - Ho Chi Minh City - Da Nang - Ha Long - Hong Kong (China). During their stay from November 13 to 7:00 p.m. on November 14, visitors participated in tours of Hanoi, Hai Phong, Ha Long city tour and experienced Ha Long Bay before the ship continued its journey.
The consecutive reception of two large-scale international cruise ships at the same time demonstrates Quang Ninh’s sustainable appeal to the global sea tourism market. These positive signals also create an important foundation for the province to complete its international tourist growth target in 2025, especially in the context of the rapidly increasing demand for sea tourism in the Asia-Pacific region.

Ha Long International Passenger Port is the first specialized passenger port in Vietnam, invested and operated by Sun Group Corporation. The project is capable of receiving ships up to 225,000 GT, serving two ships with a capacity of nearly 10,000 people at the same time, meeting the standards of the world's leading shipping lines. Since its inception, the port has welcomed 209 cruise ships, serving nearly 280,000 international visitors, contributing significantly to raising the position of Vietnam's cruise tourism on the world map.
With modern infrastructure, strategic location and consecutive events welcoming large-scale cruise ships, Ha Long continues to affirm its role as a gateway to sea tourism in the North and is an indispensable destination in international cruises in the 2025-2026 tourist season.
