Becamex Group Community Football Tournament: Exciting with huge numbers
As scheduled, on June 29, a total of 196 football teams participated in the opening day of the 18th Becamex Cup "Becamex Group" community football tournament in 2025, starting a series of exciting competition days of the traditional and largest community football tournament in Vietnam.
Starting in 2006 with the name of Binh Duong New City Football Tournament - Becamex IDC Cup, the tournament founded and sponsored by Becamex Group has become a meaningful sports playground for workers and students in the province and neighboring areas.
Deputy General Director of Becamex Group, Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh Huy emphasized: "The renaming of the tournament from this year's season to the 18th Becamex Cup "Becamex Group" community football tournament in 2025 not only demonstrates innovation in vision and brand strategy, but also affirms Becamex Group's long-term and strong commitment to developing the community sports movement, caring for the spiritual life of workers, towards a healthy, united and vibrant society".
Becamex Group's tournament is one of the most traditional and largest tournaments in the country.

Chairman of Binh Duong Football Federation, Mr. Vu Duc Thanh expressed: "Over the past 18 years, the tournament has continuously developed and become a playground and annual meeting place for young people who love football.
The tournament has been increasingly improved in terms of quality and professionalism, with the joint efforts of the participating teams. The teams have been well prepared and have a high sense of compliance with the tournament regulations to bring the tournament to a safe finish line.
In particular, this year's tournament kicked off in the context of implementing the decision to merge Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong province and Ba Ria - Vung Tau province. This is not only an administrative event but also opens up many new opportunities for connection and cultural - sports - community exchange between localities.
This community football tournament will have more conditions to develop strongly, becoming a meaningful meeting place for workers in the southern key economic region."

Of course, when expanding the number of teams, there will also be limitations such as many teams in the regional qualifying round are quite weak, and only in the final round will there be strong teams with systematic investment in personnel. This increases the professional quality of the matches.
Of course, with the aim of promoting the sports movement in the community, especially football, the record number of participating teams is also something to be noted by the tournament organizers."
