FIFA has just decided to appoint Mr. Nguyen Van Phu - General Secretary of VFF as a member of the FIFA Medical Committee for the 2025-2029 term. According to FIFA's official announcement, this decision was approved at the FIFA Council meeting on October 2, 2025. In his role as a member of the FIFA Medical Committee, Mr. Nguyen Van Phu will join the world's leading sports medicine experts in consulting, developing and supervising the implementation of medical policies and regulations in football, contributing to ensuring the health, safety and welfare of players around the world.

Currently, Mr. Nguyen Van Phu is also a member of the Medical Committee of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). At the same time, FIFA also officially announced the decision to appoint Ms. Nguyen Thanh Ha - Deputy General Secretary of VFF to become a member of the FIFA Women's Football Committee for the 2025-2029 term.

According to FIFA, in her role as a member of the Women's Football Committee, Ms. Nguyen Thanh Ha will join representatives from member federations around the world in building, advising and orienting the development of a system of women's football tournaments at club and national team levels, contributing to promoting the sustainable development of women's football globally.
