The opening session of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress will be broadcast live.

The opening session of the first Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress took place on the morning of October 14 and was broadcast live, connecting to 4 locations, to listen to the thoughts and aspirations of the people.

On the afternoon of October 8, the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee held a press conference to inform about the 1st Congress of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030. The press conference was chaired by Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Dang Minh Thong and Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Duong Anh Duc.

Chief of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Office Pham Hong Son said that this congress will apply information technology, limiting the use of documents as in the traditional way. Specifically, the roll call of delegates attending the congress will be applied with technology, with automatic equipment to check and quickly compile statistics to report to the presidium.

In addition, all documents uploaded to the congress's common application (except confidential documents) are accessed by delegates using tablets. Up to now, delegates have accessed documents, researched and prepared for discussion at the congress.

Mr. Son added that Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Tran Luu Quang requested that the application be used not only during the congress but also in other activities of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee. The application also provides information for delegates to learn about culture, society, images of Ho Chi Minh City and can entertain themselves while studying documents.

"Up to now, 95% of the content on the app has been completed. Other content is being updated by the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Office and other agencies, ensuring it is vivid and provides the best experience," Mr. Son added.

Speaking at the press conference, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Dang Minh Thong said that the new point of the first Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress is that the opening session will be broadcast live, connecting to 4 points to reflect and convey the thoughts and opinions of the people sent to the congress.

Mr. Thong said that the congress established a press center to provide full information and images to local press agencies. After the congress ended, Mr. Thong suggested focusing on promoting the congress results, the new executive committee, and the core contents of the congress.
