
The event gathered more than 1,200 delegates from 150 countries and territories, demonstrating Vietnam's increasingly important role on the global logistics map.
The Congress was hosted by the Vietnam Logistics Services Association (VLA), in coordination with FIATA and international partners, with the theme “Green and Resilient Logistics”, aiming to promote green transformation, enhance the adaptability of the supply chain and affirm the role of logistics in sustainable development.
FIATA World Congress is the largest annual event of the world logistics industry, gathering leaders of countries, international organizations, industry associations, experts and businesses in logistics, transportation, import-export and technology. This is the first time Vietnam has hosted, marking a special milestone for FIATA - an organization with nearly a century of development history and also an important step forward for the Vietnamese logistics industry on the path of deep integration.

According to the Vietnam Logistics Business Association, Vietnam hosting the congress for the first time is an important turning point, demonstrating the international community's confidence in Vietnam's logistics industry. The country currently has more than 45,000 logistics enterprises, including 5,000 international freight forwarding enterprises, contributing significantly to GDP and national competitiveness.

Speaking at the Congress, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed his pleasure to attend and speak at the 2025 FIATA Congress in Hanoi, the capital of a thousand years of civilization, the City for Peace, the Capital of Conscience and Human Dignity; stating that this Congress with the theme "Green Logistics, Rapid Adaptation" is an event of special significance. This is not only an opportunity for the global logistics community to meet, connect, cooperate, and exchange experiences, but also a forum for us to discuss new trends, find creative solutions, and move towards developing a modern, green, sustainable logistics industry with a higher ability to adapt to the current ever-changing world situation.
FIATA's selection of Vietnam as the host country for this year's Congress, and the capital Hanoi as the venue, demonstrates the great trust of the international community in general and the world logistics industry in particular in the role, potential and development aspirations of Vietnam in the logistics sector. At the same time, this is also a valuable opportunity for Vietnam to continue to introduce to international friends a friendly, peaceful, stable, and developing Vietnam, a Vietnam that gathers intelligent minds, a convergence of people who love each other.

The Prime Minister emphasized that in the current context of globalization and deep international integration, logistics is increasingly asserting its role as the "blood vessel" of the economy, a bridge between production, circulation, distribution and consumption. As a country located on international maritime and air routes with a coastline of more than 3,200km, a rich system of seaports, airports and border gates, Vietnam has all the conditions to become an important logistics center in the region. In fact, Vietnam identifies logistics as one of the three growth drivers, a fundamental factor to connect manufacturing industries, localities and connect Vietnam with the world.
The Prime Minister stated that recently, Vietnam has been implementing many synchronous and drastic solutions for the development of the logistics industry, specifically:
Implement synchronous and drastic investment in developing strategic logistics infrastructure, including investing in 5 fast and suitable transportation modes for rapid, green and sustainable development, including developing the seaport system from north to south such as Cai Mep-Thi Vai port cluster, Can Gio, Da Nang, Quy Nhon, Hue, Vung Ang, Nghi Son, Hai Phong... Vietnam is investing in developing international airport systems such as Hanoi, Da Nang, Van Don, Can Tho, especially investing in the construction of Long Thanh International Airport project to become one of the largest aviation gateways in the region, basically completed by the end of 2025.
Vietnam is also accelerating the construction of the North-South expressway system, coastal roads and national logistics centers in Hanoi, Hai Phong, Ho Chi Minh City and Can Tho this year. Vietnam is actively preparing to start construction of the standard gauge railway project connecting China, namely Lao Cai-Hanoi-Hai Phong; Hanoi-Lang Son, Mong Cai-Hai Phong; actively preparing to invest in the North-South high-speed railway project, urban railways in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City; promulgating and applying many strong incentive policies for businesses and investors in the logistics sector: exemption and reduction of corporate income tax for new investment projects; incentives on land rent and infrastructure in industrial parks and economic zones; support for research and application of technology, especially green technology, digital technology, high technology; priority for quick licensing for a number of environmentally friendly logistics projects...; Promote digital transformation in logistics: build smart logistics centers, promote the development of green and sustainable logistics; focus on training high-quality human resources for the logistics industry.
The Prime Minister emphasized that in the coming time, the world situation is forecast to develop rapidly, complicatedly, and unpredictably. All issues are of a national and global nature, related to climate change, strategic competition, and extremely sensitive issues today. Difficulties and challenges intertwine with opportunities and advantages, but Vietnam looks at the world with an optimistic spirit in the spirit that the world will be peaceful, cooperative, and united among nations to develop together. We have connections between people; love between people; respect and mutual learning between people; the desire for stable development to bring prosperity and happiness to everyone in the world. No matter how difficult the world is, we unite, cooperate, promote multilateralism, connect hearts to hearts, connect economies and logistics activities, thereby promoting peace, cooperation and development, bringing a prosperous and happy life to all people in the world, leaving no one behind.
On the occasion of this Congress, the Prime Minister called for "5 steps to promote cooperation": Promote cooperation in science and technology, innovation, digital transformation in logistics; Promote cooperation in developing fast, green, sustainable logistics; Promote cooperation in training high-quality human resources, building smart logistics centers, connecting with each other; Promote connection of national logistics centers with each other, connecting national logistics with other countries, countries with regions, regions with the world; Promote cooperation in connecting logistics methods with each other related to aviation, maritime, waterways, railways, roads, etc.
The Vietnamese Government will continue to accompany international enterprises, organizations and partners in the spirit of commitment to "3 guarantees" and "3 together", in which the "3 guarantees" include: Ensuring the most favorable conditions for domestic and foreign enterprises to invest and cooperate in general, including logistics development in Vietnam; Ensuring the legitimate and legal rights and interests of investors in all fields, including logistics; Ensuring independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity, political stability, social order and safety so that investors coming to Vietnam always feel secure, feel safe, secure, and have a peaceful life in Vietnam.
“3 together” include: Listening and understanding between the Government, authorities, people, businesses, and investors; Sharing vision and action to cooperate and develop together, especially in the field of green, digital, and sustainable logistics; Working together, winning together, enjoying the results together, and sharing the pride that we bring to each other.
The Prime Minister stated that the 2025 FIATA Congress in Hanoi carries a clear message, which is solidarity and win-win for green logistics development. We understand each other, cooperate more, and bring about higher results with the motto "Solidarity - Responsible Cooperation - Sustainable Development". Vietnam is ready to be a reliable partner, a safe and attractive destination for the international logistics business community. The Prime Minister believes that investors and international delegates will have more confidence in life, more confidence in cooperation with Vietnam, more confidence to promote the development of a fast, green, digital and sustainable logistics industry.
