The Vietnam International Defence Exhibition 2024 features the participation of 66 international delegations and more than 240 defense industry enterprises from 49 countries around
the world .

This exhibition shows that "Made in Vietnam" weapons have advanced significantly, with many products reaching world-class standards. Among them,
Viettel is the unit with the largest number of products, with over 80 types in the high-tech defense industry, including: Radar; optoelectronics; electronic warfare; military communications; training simulation; command and control; UAVs, aerospace; cyber warfare; cybersecurity; and a group of technology products in the civilian sector.

The image shows a simulated model of Viettel's high-power electromagnetic pulse suppression system.
Military experts consider this product to be one of the key weapons in electronic warfare, suppressing enemy command, control, communication, and computer networks. The attack method of the electromagnetic pulse weapon involves using high-power ultra-high frequency waves to suppress radio equipment, burning electronic components and microcircuits in command, control, and guidance systems, rendering high-tech weapons inoperable or diverting them from their intended targets.

This exhibition also showcased many types of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) that attracted considerable visitor interest. Pictured is a versatile UAV with bombing capabilities.

Another long-range, multi-purpose UAV produced by Viettel can fly continuously for 12 hours with a range of over 1,000km, equipped with high-precision attack weapons. This unmanned aircraft model can operate in all weather conditions and is considered a technological breakthrough for Vietnam's defense industry.

The BXL-.01 suicide combat fixed-wing UAV is capable of searching for, identifying, tracking, and destroying targets such as tanks, armored vehicles, self-propelled artillery, radar stations, and other armored technical vehicles.

Besides UAVs, the "Made in Vietnam" guns and ammunition displayed at the exhibition also surprised many attendees. Pictured is a 73mm anti-tank round with a direct firing range of 800m and a maximum range of 1,300m on the sight. This product was manufactured by the Institute of Weapons.

The THCT-105TM2 anti-armor explosive reactive armor system consists of explosive charges placed in steel boxes outside the main armor of the tank or armored vehicle. Its purpose is to neutralize or reduce the destructive power of anti-tank rounds and missiles against the vehicle's main armor.

The MK-140 missile is a versatile, multi-purpose weapon with various guidance systems using both laser and infrared. The MK-140 can effectively engage a wide range of targets on land, in the air, and at sea.

Anti-aircraft ammunition ranging from 30mm to 105mm is prominently displayed in the exhibition hall of the General Department of Defense Industry.

Notable products manufactured by the Z117 factory include silenced mortars and silenced mortar rounds. These products are equipped for special forces units in combat, designed to inflict casualties on the enemy upon firing, and are highly effective in terms of stealth, surprise, and ingenuity.

The SBT-7.62M2 heavy sniper rifle features an optical sight. Previously, at Indo Defence Jakarta 2018 in 2018, Vietnam introduced the first generation of this weapon, the SBT12 M1, which met the technical and tactical requirements of modern combat environments, surprising many Southeast Asian nations. The rifle's design is quite similar to the powerful Russian KSVK sniper rifle.

The SPL-30 automatic grenade launcher was also one of the many weapons that attracted attention at the exhibition. The weapon is designed on the principle of a free-locking breech for early firing.

Another notable Vietnamese product is a lightweight missile launcher system with main targeting components including daytime and infrared cameras; a laser rangefinder; a laser target designator; a direction finding module; a weapon platform balance sensor; a global positioning system; and sensors for measuring wind speed, wind direction, temperature, humidity, and air pressure. It can be mounted on the back of a standard pickup truck and configured to launch 12 guided or unguided MK70 missiles, 12 MK82 missiles, or 4 MK140 missiles.
