On the other hand, entering the first sowing period (in early October 2023), there were two heavy rains that caused many areas to be damaged or slow to grow.

However, thanks to efforts to overcome and take good care, up to now, dozens of hectares of vegetable seedlings in Hong Linh village have begun to grow green, preparing for the main harvest season to be exported to the market.

The cauliflower seedlings in the fields of Hong Linh village will be ready for sale in just over a week.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thao (58 years old, Hong Linh village) said: “My family grows 3 sao of vegetable seedlings. On average, from September to January (lunar calendar) every year, we sow 7-8 batches, each batch produces hundreds of thousands of vegetable seedlings of all kinds such as: cauliflower, cabbage, kohlrabi, eggplant, lettuce, mustard greens... to sell to the market.

Although the weather is a bit unfavorable, thanks to the care, the seedlings are growing well and can be sold in about a week.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thao collects straw to cover the newly sown beds, so that the seedlings can grow smoothly.

Also growing vegetable seeds in Hong Linh village (Vuong Loc), but thanks to actively researching and applying modern farming methods in production, at this time, a few households here have vegetable seeds for sale.

Mr. Phan Van Duc (52 years old, Hong Linh village) said: "Although the quantity is not much, at this time, we have started selling some vegetable seedlings such as: chicken mustard, cauliflower, kohlrabi, lettuce... These are mainly vegetable beds that we use new plastic cuttings as frames to cover with plastic tarps, avoiding the recent heavy rain".

At this time, local farmers have started to grow winter vegetables, so all the seedlings that Mr. Duc harvested have been sold out. Currently, the price of vegetable seedlings such as cauliflower and kohlrabi is 10,000 VND/bag of 10 plants, and broccoli and lettuce are 5-6,000 VND/bag of 10-15 plants.

Since 2014, thanks to the construction of new rural areas, then the construction of model residential areas, production planning has been put into order and professionalism. Therefore, in addition to increasing output, the quality of vegetable seedlings has also been improved. For many years, vegetable seedlings in Hong Linh village have always been favored by people inside and outside the province. Thanks to the production of vegetable seedlings, on average each crop (rotating for 3-4 months), people earn an estimated 60-80 million VND/sao of planting.
