The report presented at the Congress stated: Over the past 5 years, the emulation and reward work and the emulation and reward movement have been led, directed, and implemented synchronously and effectively by the Party Committee, the Command of Region 5, and Party committees and commanders at all levels with many good and creative ways of doing things, with wide influence, creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere, becoming a great driving force to encourage and motivate cadres and soldiers to actively strive and strive to fulfill their assigned tasks, contributing to improving the overall quality, strength, and combat readiness of the Region; building clean and strong party organizations, strong, exemplary, and representative agencies and units.
From the TDQT movement, many new factors, typical advanced collective and individual examples, good and creative ways of performing tasks have emerged. Many movements and models such as: "Good training, strict discipline", "Regular and exemplary ships", "Youth duty shift", "One law per week", "Increasing concentrated and specialized production", "Skilled mass mobilization unit", "Drops of love", the program "Vietnam Navy as a support for fishermen to go offshore and stick to the sea", the activity "Navy sponsors fishermen's children"... have been responded to and effectively participated by a large number of officers and soldiers of the unit.

Over the past 5 years, the Naval Region 5 Command has performed well in training, combat readiness, defense diplomacy, patrolling, reconnaissance, on-duty posts, and strictly managed assigned sea areas; strictly maintained discipline, regimes, forces, means, and on-duty systems at all levels; effectively deployed party work, political work, logistics, and technical work for missions; grasped the situation of sea areas and areas, promptly advised, proposed, and handled situations accurately and effectively, avoiding being passive or surprised, contributing to firmly protecting the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.

Speaking at the congress, Rear Admiral Do Van Yen acknowledged and commended the emulation work and the emulation movement that the Naval Region 5 Command has achieved in the past time and at the same time requested the Party Committee and the Region Command to continue to thoroughly grasp President Ho Chi Minh's thoughts on patriotic emulation, the Party's viewpoints and guidelines, and instructions from superiors on emulation work; to carry out well the education work, making officers and soldiers correctly and fully aware of the position, role and importance of emulation work and the emulation movement so that the spirit of patriotic emulation truly becomes a driving force to encourage and motivate soldiers to perform well their assigned duties and tasks.
The Deputy Political Commissar of the Navy also noted that the Command of Region 5 needs to do a good job of discovering, fostering, propagating, and replicating good models, creative ways of doing things, typical advanced collectives and individuals, especially new factors; promptly commend, reward, and honor outstanding collectives and individuals in performing their tasks, ensuring honesty, fairness, and accuracy; at the same time, attach importance to the preliminary, final summaries, and experience drawing, making the work of TĐKT and the TĐQT movement always have strong vitality, becoming a voluntary need of collectives and individuals...

On this occasion, the Navy Command and Region 5 Command commended 71 collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the emulation movement for victory in the 2019-2024 period.
Previously, on the evening of July 14, the Naval Region 5 Command organized the exchange program “Flowers of Victory”. The exchange took place in a joyful and exciting atmosphere, leaving many impressions and emotions on the delegates and officers and soldiers of the unit.

2019-2024 period. The Naval Region 5 Command was awarded the Government's Emulation Flag (2020), the Ministry of National Defense's Emulation Flag (2019, 2021, 2022), and the Navy's Emulation Flag (2023). The region has 24 collectives awarded the title of Determined to Win Unit for 2 consecutive years or more; 7 individuals awarded the title of Emulation Fighter at the grassroots level for 3 consecutive years or more; 15 collectives and individuals achieved the title of Most Outstanding of the Navy and thousands of collectives and individuals were awarded at all levels. |
