Mr. Nguyen Phuc Hoang, Chairman of the People's Committee of Vung Tau City, delivered a directive speech at the working session.

Reporting at the meeting, Mr. Pham Khac To, Director of the Vung Tau City Tourist Management and Support Center, said that from April 30 to May 2, the city welcomed approximately 233,000 beachgoers.

The center has assigned 100% of its personnel to be on duty at tourist spots and public beaches, ensuring the safety of residents and tourists. At the same time, it is coordinating with forces from the Provincial Police and local wards to ensure security and order, environmental hygiene, manage business activities and services, and provide information support for tourists.

Over the past two days of the holiday, the rescue team of the Vung Tau City Tourist Management and Support Center rescued and brought ashore safely one beachgoer who was drowning. They also assisted in the search and returned 11 lost children to their families.

Wards and units have also mobilized youth, women, veterans, civil servants, etc., to clean up the environment; disseminate information and remind people and tourists not to gather to eat and drink in parks and streets; and deal with the problem of street vending in public places...

According to Mr. Phan Trong Hanh, Head of the Culture, Science and Information Department of Vung Tau City, during the past two days of the holiday, the city's hotline received 28 calls from tourists, but none of them reported any instances of price gouging.

Chairman of the People's Committee of Vung Tau City, Nguyen Phuc Hoang, requested that departments, units, and wards continue to focus their efforts on patrolling, inspecting, and being on standby to ensure security and safety for residents and tourists enjoying recreational activities and swimming at the beach.

At the same time, strengthen inspections of fee posting and collection at parking lots, strictly handle cases of unauthorized price increases; remind and strictly deal with the situation of street vending in parks and beaches.
