The ideal "paradise" for escaping the heat and exploring the countryside and gardens, the Suoi Rao-Chau Duc area is currently a hot spot on the Ba Ria-Vung Tau tourism map. The Suoi Rao landscape features numerous small valleys interspersed with low hills, canals, streams, and irrigation lakes, including the large Suoi Giau lake with its abundant water resources, contributing to a mild climate year-round. Chau Duc also boasts the Xuan Son protective forest, considered the "green lung" of the entire region, with many large forest trees that are strictly protected.

Along both sides of the Suoi Rao-Da Bac and Suoi Rao-Xuan Son roads, numerous eco-tourism destinations have sprung up, forming a tourism community. Resort destinations such as Suoi Rao Ecolodge, Suoi Rao Forest, Dat Rong-Dinh Gia Trang, Charm Villas… leverage the existing natural environment and invest in beautifying it, creating a neat and aesthetically pleasing setting with harmonious flowerbeds, green spaces, and carefully arranged stone paths. Service areas such as restaurants, accommodations, gardens, and community courtyards are also meticulously designed, becoming romantic spaces for relaxation and photo opportunities, allowing visitors to capture beautiful memories during their trip. All of this creates a captivating symphony that entices tourists who appreciate the peaceful, unhurried pace of rural life.

Tourist Nguyen Hao ( Ho Chi Minh City) shared that she had a truly rejuvenating vacation at Suoi Rao. “While relaxing here, I woke up to the sound of birds chirping in the trees, watched the thin mist still lingering over the lake before gradually dissipating as the sun rose. I cycled slowly along the country roads, breathing in the scent of grass and flowers in the early morning sun, and greeted a few people jogging along the way. It was a short vacation, but for me, it was a wonderful stress reliever and a great way to balance my mind,” said Ms. Nguyen Hao.

The journey to explore the countryside of Chau Duc also takes tourists to experience cocoa harvesting, participate in the process of making products from cocoa beans at Binon cocoa (Xa Bang commune), OCA Vietnam-Japan cocoa (Quang Thanh commune), or visit, pick fruit, and explore the culture of the Central Highlands at Buon Go Rin (Lang Lon commune).

Also exploiting the peaceful rural landscape, the ecotourism model at Tu Phuong That Dao (about 8km from the center of Ba Ria City, on Road 9N, Phuoc Huu Hamlet, Long Phuoc Commune, Ba Ria City) aims to help people harmonize with nature to discover the sustainable values of life.

This tourist area prohibits karaoke, encouraging people to put away their mobile devices and get closer to nature. Children can touch, feel, and play in the dirt through activities like wading in the mud to catch fish, planting vegetables, harvesting fruit in the garden, feeding chickens and ducks, and herding ducks. Adults can challenge themselves by cycling across a monkey bridge, relaxing in a boat on the canal, and visiting the rice fields.

The fruits are grown and cared for entirely organically, and visitors can eat them right in the garden after harvesting. The cuisine at Tu Phuong That Dao also reflects a rustic feel with menus featuring ingredients harvested and caught from the fields, such as: freshwater shrimp, frogs, snakehead fish, free-range chicken, snails cooked with bananas, baked potatoes, grilled corn... prepared with finesse and traditional cooking techniques to create rich, unforgettable dishes.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong, owner of Tu Phuong That Dao restaurant, said that although the dishes are simple and reasonably priced, they are not sloppy; they must be beautifully and impressively presented, with the quality of the food being the top priority, especially the cleanliness of the preparation. The house is also designed to maintain the rustic atmosphere of a rural village while remaining neat, clean, and well-ventilated. Most importantly, the attitude towards welcoming guests is friendly, ensuring they leave satisfied.

The districts of Long Dat and Xuyen Moc have also developed several tourist destinations that capitalize on views of fish ponds, lotus ponds, rice fields, and fruit orchards, such as Lua Farmstay (Lang Dai commune, Long Dat district), Hoa Thuan longan orchard (Phuoc Hoi commune, Long Dat district), and dragon fruit and longan orchards (Bong Trang commune, Xuyen Moc district), attracting tourists who want to explore nature and enjoy local agricultural products.

In addition, the natural streams and waterfalls at Suoi Tien and Suoi Da (Phu My City), and Hoa Binh Waterfall (Xuyen Moc District), untouched by human activity, are ideal "escapes from the heat" for those who enjoy cooling off with natural spring water or exploring nature, trekking through the forest to experience the mild, pleasant, even cool climate, dispelling the oppressive feeling of summer.
