In reality, access to digital technology among residents in the commune remains limited, especially for the elderly. Therefore, to truly facilitate people's registration for online public services, the VNeID application , and the lookup of administrative procedures, Huynh Van Quy, Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union of Cai Keo hamlet, along with other Youth Union members, have been stationed at the commune's center for over a week to support and guide residents.
Mr. Huynh Van Quy shared: “The biggest difficulty is that many people do not yet have level 2 identity verification accounts. We have to assist with logging in, checking information, and then guide them through the next steps. Many people are still confused with information technology, so the Youth Union members have to patiently guide them so they understand clearly and can do it themselves more quickly next time. Despite the large number of people, we always try to provide quick, concise, and effective guidance.”
The Quach Pham Commune Public Administrative Service Center is still operating smoothly, providing online public services to residents in the area.
Digital transformation is not just about technological changes, but also about changing habits from citizens to officials in carrying out administrative procedures, shifting from a physical environment to a digital one. To successfully implement this, in addition to the consensus of the people, it requires the decisive involvement of the entire political system at the grassroots level.
Mr. Nguyen Viet Khai, Vice Chairman of Quach Pham commune, said: “Initially, the people were still confused and unfamiliar with the operations of smart devices. To address these difficulties, the commune will continue to mobilize the community digital technology team in the future to change people's habits and improve their performance.”
Not only Quach Pham commune, but many other localities in Ca Mau province are also facing similar difficulties. To address this issue, in recent times, authorities at all levels have been implementing many solutions simultaneously, such as: training on using online public services, disseminating information on how to register for electronic identity accounts, establishing community digital technology groups, and strengthening the involvement of mass organizations and youth... With the desire to accompany people in the digital transformation process, especially for people in rural areas and remote regions, thereby creating conditions to contribute to improving the efficiency of administrative reform in the locality.
