Phalaenopsis orchid garden in season for Tet (Vietnamese Lunar New Year).

Playing with flowers during Tet (Lunar New Year) is an indispensable tradition for Vietnamese people. Among the various types of flowers, orchids are often chosen for their elegant appearance and longevity. Currently, the Phalaenopsis orchid garden with over 20,000 plants belonging to Mr. Pham Ngoc Thanh's family in Zone 1, Song Lo commune (formerly), now Thanh Mieu ward, has begun to bloom, ready for sale to the market during the Tet holiday of the Year of the Horse 2026.

After nearly a year of care, the orchid garden, with its many varieties and vibrant colors, is expected to be ready for sale during the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026, with approximately over 20,000 plants.

According to Mr. Pham Ngoc Thanh, the orchid garden, spanning over 2,000 square ^meters , has been cultivated for many years. Combining high-tech applications, a greenhouse system, temperature and humidity control, and the installation of modern equipment such as automatic irrigation, air conditioning, and ventilation fans, the flowers thrive.

The orchid varieties are carefully selected by Mr. Thanh's family. Tissue-cultured orchids require two years of preparation in advance, while imported ready-made orchid varieties need one year of preparation before being sold.

Orchids of various types, such as mini treasure, mini lantern, pearl red, apple yellow, cherry red, treasure pink, and Anna pink, are blooming brilliantly and ready to be sold on the market this Tet holiday.

With just over a month left until the 2026 Lunar New Year, Mr. Thanh's family is busy preparing the final steps for selling their orchids.

According to the owner of the orchid garden, each orchid plant is currently being sold at the garden for between 150,000 and 220,000 VND.

Customers can choose their favorite pots and flowers right in the garden.

Leaders of Thanh Mieu ward visited Mr. Pham Ngoc Thanh's orchid garden. According to their assessment, this is a fairly effective model. This model opens up prospects for building and replicating models that adapt to climate change and improve the efficiency of local agricultural production.
