Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong, owner of Hong Danh tangerine garden in Tan Thanh commune (Lai Vung) has 0.4 hectares of tangerines that are bearing fruit. Ms. Hong said that it is currently the season to serve tourists, and on the 26th and 27th of Tet, the garden will stop receiving visitors to harvest and supply the Tet market.

16 years ago, Ms. Hong's family was one of the first people to serve visitors to the tangerine garden in Lai Vung until now.

According to Mr. Doan Anh Kiet in Long Hau commune (Lai Vung), this year, the weather is unfavorable, with long periods of hot weather. Pink grapefruit is a type of tree that is sensitive to the weather, and high environmental temperatures will cause it to drop fruit. His garden also suffered from fruit drop due to hot weather, however, thanks to applying organic farming processes and irrigating the fruit at the right time, the pink grapefruit is shiny, even and has beautiful colors. This year, his 5,000 m2 pink grapefruit garden is estimated to yield about 10 tons of fruit.
