After successfully predicting the result of the co-host team in the opening match of the 2023 Women's World Cup final against Norway, the penguins at Kelly Tarlton's Aquarium (Auckland city) were "trusted" to predict the New Zealand-Philippines match.

As before, two buckets full of fish were placed side by side, each with the flags of New Zealand and the Philippines. The penguin “prophet” would be tasked with choosing the fish from whichever bucket.

Indeed, the penguins lived up to expectations and ate fish from a bucket with the New Zealand flag. That means coach Jitka Klimkova and her team are expected to continue to get 3 full points in the upcoming match against the Southeast Asian representative.

With a 1-0 victory over Norway - a team highly rated in this group in the opening match, the New Zealand women's team only needs one more victory to basically have a ticket to the next round. Continuing that excitement as well as to set foot in the round of 16 soon, they will be determined to win against the Philippines.

Meanwhile, the Philippine women's team, which is participating in the World Cup for the first time, is not highly rated. Coach Alen Stajcic's team, which consists mostly of naturalized players, lost 0-2 to Switzerland in the opening match.

The positions of the two teams on the FIFA rankings also have a relatively large difference, New Zealand is ranked 26th, while the Southeast Asian team is ranked 46th.

The match between New Zealand and the Philippines takes place at 12:30 on July 25 ( Hanoi time).

Expected lineup

New Zealand: Esson, A. Riley, Bowen, Stott, Bott, Hassett, Steinmetz, Percival, I. Riley, Wilkinson, Hand.

Philippines: Davies-McDaniel, Beard, Cowart, Long, Harrison, Eggesvik, Sawicki, Quezada, Barker, Bolden, Guillou.
