WVI - Quang Ngai outlines cooperation programs and projects for the new phase.

On December 18th, the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province held a meeting with Mr. Doseba Tua Sinay, Head Representative of World Vision International, USA - Representative Office in Vietnam (WVI). The two sides discussed the implementation of programs and projects funded by WVI in Quang Ngai province over the past period and the direction of cooperation for programs and projects in the next phase.

During the meeting, representatives from the WVI organization discussed several issues related to the implementation of programs and projects in the province in the coming period; they also expressed their desire to continue receiving the attention, cooperation, and support of the Provincial People's Committee and relevant departments and localities so that activities can be implemented smoothly, effectively, and in accordance with the local situation.

Speaking at the meeting, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee, Y Ngoc, provided information on the situation of Quang Ngai province after the merger, and emphasized that in recent years, the province has always paid attention to, prioritized, and mobilized all resources to develop socio -economic aspects, especially in mountainous and disadvantaged areas.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee stated that the province is focusing on investing in infrastructure development, especially in education, healthcare, transportation, agriculture , and rural areas; while also enhancing the capacity of local leaders and managers, and implementing comprehensive solutions to improve people's livelihoods and living standards.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee acknowledged WVI's effective support and cooperation in poverty reduction, improving living conditions, and enhancing the quality of life for people in the project area, especially children, women, and disadvantaged households. In the future, Quang Ngai province will continue to pay attention to and create favorable conditions for WVI to implement its programs and projects in the province.

Ms. Y Ngoc suggested that relevant departments, agencies, and localities continue to coordinate in the implementation and completion of the regional program's contents; and at the same time, research and review practical needs to propose appropriate programs, contributing to ensuring social security and sustainable development.

WVI began operating in Quang Ngai in 2004 and has since implemented numerous programs and projects with a total committed value of over 290 billion VND, focusing primarily on education, healthcare, agriculture, household economic development, emergency relief, disaster risk reduction, and climate change adaptation. Currently, WVI is funding 5 programs in 13 communes in the eastern part of the province, with a projected total capital of approximately 136 billion VND for the 2025-2027 period.

The programs and projects implemented by WVI have contributed to improving the quality of life and alleviating difficulties for people in the project areas; at the same time, they have gradually changed the awareness and living habits of the community, promoted socio-economic development, and supported households and beneficiaries in overcoming difficulties and stabilizing their lives.
