The book festival is a practical activity that contributes to fostering a love of books, nurturing a passion for knowledge, and gradually forming a reading habit among students. Through this, the school aims to build a foundation for lifelong learning – a crucial factor in helping the younger generation develop comprehensively in both intellect and character.

Ms. Vu Thi Minh Hue, Principal of Tri Thuy Primary School, emphasized: Reading plays a very important role in expanding knowledge, developing thinking, and nurturing the soul. The school always identifies building and developing a reading culture as a central task, closely linked to the goal of improving the overall quality of education .

At the program, Vu Ha Phuong, a student from class 5A1, introduced the book "The Unnumbered Ship" by author Ma Thien Dong. With a confident and expressive voice, Phuong vividly recreated heroic historical stories, helping teachers and students gain a deeper understanding of the silent yet great achievements of the nation.

In addition, students also get to experience the "digital library," a modern learning space that supports the search, access, and sharing of useful books. This is a concrete step taken by the school in promoting the application of information technology and digital transformation in education, contributing to building a flexible and creative learning environment.

At primary and secondary schools in Dai Xuyen commune, many meaningful activities have been implemented, such as organizing reading festivals, building green libraries, classroom bookshelves, launching the "one page a day" campaign, storytelling competitions, and introducing good books… Through these activities, students are naturally introduced to books, develop reading habits, and enhance their self-learning awareness.

Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day 2026 is not only an occasion to honor the value of books, but also an opportunity for every student and citizen of Dai Xuyen to reconsider the role of reading in modern life, thereby building a sustainable reading habit, contributing to the formation of a learning society, raising intellectual standards and developing human beings.
