From the afternoon of April 3rd, six processions from ten villages in the commune gathered at the stadium to prepare for the ceremony. The ceremony began with a torch procession by the younger generation to light the martyrs' cemetery.

Next came the ceremonial ritual, where representatives from 10 villages respectfully offered incense to the ancestors who had contributed to the reclamation of the land, commemorating the great contributions of the forefathers who gave birth to generations of heroes and patriots who helped bring glory to their homeland and country.

In his opening speech at the festival, Mr. Ha Van Minh, Chairman of the Dien Quang Commune People's Committee, said that Dien Quang currently has 97 clans living peacefully in 10 villages with 6 hamlets. Every year, many clans organize spring rituals during Thanh Minh (Qingming Festival), associated with ancestral tomb sweeping, which is an opportunity for descendants to reunite.

Dien Quang commune organizes the Thanh Minh festival with the aim of paying tribute to ancestors, guiding clans to preserve their beautiful cultural identity, family traditions, and fostering unity and mutual affection in their lives.

Prior to this, many festival activities took place, such as organizing the traditional boat race, opening the commune's Sports Festival, launching the Olympic Run Day, and cultural performances.

The place name Dien Quang was formed in the late 14th century. The ancestors were families originally from Nghe An and Thanh Hoa provinces who came to settle and establish their livelihoods there.

From the very beginning, the ancestors of these clans united, battling natural disasters and enemy attacks to protect their villages, establish settlements, and preserve their family traditions. Through generations, the people of Dien Quang have stood side by side, preserving and building a prosperous and beautiful homeland.
