Phuoc Hau Commune, Can Giuoc District is recognized as a model new rural commune.

With the efforts of the entire political system and the solidarity of the people, Phuoc Hau commune, Can Giuoc district has completed the task of building a model new-style rural commune. This is one of the first two model new-style rural communes in Long An province. The announcement ceremony and receiving the certificate of recognition was held by the locality this afternoon, May 17.

Attending the ceremony were Former Deputy Prime Minister - Truong Hoa Binh ; Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation - Nguyen Thanh Hai, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Minh Lam.

Phuoc Hau - 1 of the first 2 communes of the province to receive the certificate of recognition as a model new rural area

At the ceremony, provincial leaders awarded a certificate recognizing Phuoc Hau commune as meeting the model new rural standards in the "cultural field" in 2023, along with a reward of 1.5 billion VND.

In recent times, Phuoc Hau commune has mobilized all resources with a total budget of more than 520 billion VND to build a new rural area. Up to now, the socio-economic infrastructure of electricity - roads - schools - stations has been invested and developed synchronously; agriculture has been deployed in the direction of production linkage, high technology application, average income per capita has reached nearly 74 million VND/person/year, the multidimensional poverty rate has decreased to 0.49%;...

Regarding the criteria of a model new rural commune in the cultural field, up to now, Phuoc Hau commune has achieved 100% of the criteria: all hamlets have hamlet cultural houses; there are arranged entertainment, recreation and sports areas; 69% of the people in the commune participate in activities in cultural, artistic, physical education and sports clubs;….

Representing the provincial leaders, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Minh Lam congratulated and acknowledged the achievements that the Party Committee, government and people of Phuoc Hau commune have achieved; at the same time, hoped that in the coming time, the commune will continue to strive even more to constantly improve the quality of people's lives, towards a prosperous society. Model NTM in the remaining fields, especially the model of "production organization" and "economic development", makes Phuoc Hau truly become a "livable countryside".

On this occasion, many collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in building model new-style rural communes received certificates of merit from the Provincial People's Committee, Can Giuoc District People's Committee and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development./.
