Thanh Oai Commune: Promoting the 80-year tradition of the People's Public Security, building a solid people's security posture

HNP - In the exciting atmosphere of competition towards the celebration of the country's major holidays, on the afternoon of August 18, the Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune solemnly held the ceremony to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam People's Public Security (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2025).

At the ceremony, delegates reviewed the 80-year journey of building, fighting and growing of the Vietnam People's Public Security force and the outstanding achievements in 20 years of implementing the "National Day for National Security Protection" in the area.

In his commemorative speech, Vice Chairman of the Commune People's Committee Nguyen Hong Hai stated: Under the absolute and comprehensive leadership of the Party and the companionship and trust of the People, the Vietnam People's Public Security force in general and Thanh Oai Commune Police in particular are always worthy of being the "steel shield" protecting the Party, the State and the peace of the People.

Starting from July 1, 2025, implementing the Party's major policy on rearranging and reorganizing administrative units at all levels, building a 2-level local government, aiming to streamline the apparatus, improve management effectiveness and efficiency, Thanh Oai commune has been gradually perfecting itself, striving to become a bright spot in the work of building a government closely associated with the people.

After nearly 2 months of implementing tasks according to the new organizational model, Thanh Oai Commune Police has been gradually improved, put into stable operation, operated effectively, quickly adapted, and deployed tasks in a professional, effective, and practical manner, like a breath of fresh air changing the working mindset at the grassroots level. The work of receiving and resolving issues of residence, citizen identification, electronic identification, and vehicle registration has been carried out continuously.

Along with administrative reform, ensuring security and order in the area is always a key task. The communal police have closely coordinated with the grassroots security and order forces, organized closed patrols in the area, and maintained security from early on and from afar. The local police and security forces regularly monitor the area, grasp the situation, and proactively deploy plans to ensure political security and social order and safety. Synchronously and drastically deploy measures to ensure traffic order and safety and urban order. Closely coordinate with local departments and organizations to deploy models of "Security and Order Protection Team", "Fire Prevention and Fighting Safety Inter-family Team", contributing to raising people's awareness of self-prevention, self-management, and self-protection.... The movement of All People Protecting National Security has gone into depth, becoming a cultural beauty in community life with many typical models effectively deployed, with the active participation of the people, contributing to building safe and civilized residential areas.

On this occasion, the Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune presented 10 gifts to families of outstanding meritorious people in the commune.

Promoting the glorious achievements after 80 years of construction and development, 20 years of the National Day for National Security Protection, in the coming time, the Thanh Oai Commune Police force will continue to promote the heroic tradition, the glorious revolutionary tradition; the officers and soldiers of Thanh Oai Commune Police will continue to strive to build a communal police force that is united, innovative, brave and intelligent, overcomes all difficulties and challenges, constantly develops, continues to achieve more achievements, contributing with the Capital Police force to excellently fulfill the task of protecting the Party, protecting the State, protecting the people; maintaining national security and ensuring social order and safety of the Capital in particular and the country in general.

With the achievements in combat and training, in recent years, the Commune Police force has been awarded 01 Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister, 03 Certificates of Merit from the Minister of Public Security , 02 Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the City People's Committee, hundreds of cadres have been awarded certificates of merit and certificates of merit; for many consecutive years, it has achieved the title of "Clean and strong Party Committee"; "Victory Unit", especially in 2022, 2023, the unit was awarded the flag of an excellent unit in the emulation movement by the Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee; In 2024, the Prime Minister awarded the Government's Emulation Flag.
