U23 Australia showed overwhelming strength against the Timor-Leste girls. In the 2nd minute, McKenna crossed the ball accurately for Holly Furphy to jump high and head the ball to open the score.
Just 10 minutes later, goalkeeper Da Costa made a mistake, allowing Alana Jancevski to easily double the gap. In the 30th minute, Sasha Grove assisted Furphy to complete his double, before Grace Johnston scored a superb long-range shot in the 44th minute, ending the first half with a score of 4-0.

In the second half, the girls from the land of kangaroos only took one minute to score the fifth goal when Da Costa made a mistake, letting the ball fly straight into the net.
In the 58th minute, Emilia Makris scored a lucky goal after a rebound off an opposing defender. Four minutes later, McKenna scored, making it 7-0. Aideen Kean closed out the magnificent victory with a brace in the 79th and 82nd minutes.

This result brought U23 Australia to second place in Group B, winning a ticket to the semi-finals and will face the host team - the Vietnamese women's team.
In the remaining match, the Myanmar women's team excellently held the Philippines to a 1-1 draw to maintain their top position in Group B, their opponent being Thailand in the best four round.
