At Binh Duong Stadium, the Vietnamese team had a hard-fought victory over Nepal. Leading in the 9th minute, the Vietnamese team equalized in the 17th minute and had to wait until the 67th minute to raise the score to 2-1.

In the context of playing with more players, the Vietnamese team completed the victory with the final goal 3-1 in the 72nd minute.

Commenting on the match with Tuoi Tre Online , commentator Ngo Quang Tung said: "In terms of results, I think this is an acceptable match because the Vietnamese team has completed the goal of winning 3 points. In terms of playing style, we have some noteworthy features. Some individuals like Thanh Long, Hai Long, Tien Anh, Quang Vinh played well. Tien Linh also missed but still scored a goal."

He continued: "However, to say that the team played well and was truly brilliant is not true. Coach Kim Sang Sik has always had problems with the way he played but the results were very reasonable. Therefore, we need to give credit to the team."

Commentator Quang Tung believes that we should sympathize with the attacking style of the Vietnamese team in the context that Nepal almost defended the entire match to disrupt the playing style of coach Kim Sang Sik and his team.

Sharing about the only goal conceded by the Vietnamese team, commentator Quang Tung affirmed that the home team's defense had shortcomings.

"First of all, it was a good situation for Nepal. Second, the Vietnamese team's defense lacked the tightness and determination to control the situation. The central defenders did not compete well, and the goalkeeper was not ready. We have the right to blame these two positions. The biggest fault belongs to the central defenders, accounting for about 80%," commentator Quang Tung frankly commented.

Commenting on the return of goalkeeper Dang Van Lam, Mr. Tung said: "Van Lam did not play well in this match when he conceded 1 goal and 1 bad tackle with his foot. With such a performance in a match like this, Van Lam's ability to compete in the national team in the future is very difficult. Goalkeepers at the same time like Trung Kien or Van Viet have more stability."

Finally, commentator Quang Tung hopes that in the second leg match taking place a few days later, the Vietnamese team will demonstrate smoother play, where the U23 players of the team will be given more opportunities.

"The result is still the most important thing, that's why coach Kim put out the strongest starting lineup. When the game is stable, the U23 players will have the opportunity to enter the field," said commentator Quang Tung.
