The "Non song gam pham" ao dai by designer Phuong Ho has a 178m long skirt, weighs nearly 200kg, and depicts 30 famous landscapes using many materials such as taffeta, chiffon, brocade, silk, and crystal.
Within the framework of the Hung Kings' Commemoration Anniversary - Hung Temple Festival 2023, on the evening of April 22, the People's Committee of Viet Tri City ( Phu Tho ) coordinated with Phuonglly Media Company to organize a performance of the Ao Dai collection and set Vietnam Guinness records for the first 3 records in Viet Tri City.
The records include the longest “Non song gam dap” ao dai in Vietnam; conquering the longest runway in Vietnam and setting a record for the event with the largest number of people wearing ao dai in Vietnam.
The record-breaking "Non song gam pham" ao dai with a 178m long skirt and weighing nearly 200kg was carried by young teenagers, showing respect for heritage values.
The “Non song gam pham” ao dai is printed, painted, hand-embroidered and embellished with 410m of taffeta, voile, brocade and silk, attached with millions of sparkling crystal beads, 50m of shiny silk, 380m of stone-studded border, 100 rolls of chopstick wool and wool combined with more than 300 large sparkling stones, thousands of brocade lotus petals, hundreds of voile lotus leaves and most importantly, the dedication, effort and hard work of designer Phuong Ho and more than 20 tailors and embroiderers.
The "Non song gam mam" ao dai also depicts the majestic and poetic beauty of the S-shaped strip of Vietnam with images of 30 typical scenic spots, taking Hung Temple Phu Tho as the center to connect and spread the values of Vietnamese national cultural heritage.
Besides the record-breaking ao dai “Non song gam phap”, the designers this time also worked hard to create collections to be shown on this occasion such as Linh linh nguon loc; Sac co; Sen gam and Non song gam phap.
The collections are imbued with contemporary folklore with a subtle combination of lotus motifs; palm leaves along with the luxurious multi-colored world of brocade, silk... All create impressive highlights for traditional Vietnamese costumes and leave many impressions on viewers.
This is also one of the events that contributed to setting a record for conquering the longest performance route in Vietnam (over 500m) and the largest number of people wearing Ao Dai attending a cultural and artistic event in Vietnam with nearly 4,000 people.
Hung Kings' Commemoration Day - Hung Temple Festival is an annual festival of the entire nation, an occasion to educate the tradition of patriotism, to arouse the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source" and the strength of national solidarity, to preserve and promote the value of cultural heritage in the homeland.
This is also an opportunity to demonstrate the unique cultural identity of the homeland, create appeal, attract tourists, and widely promote the potential and strengths of local cultural tourism resources./.
