Authorities investigate allegations that two male students threatened and forced a classmate to eat dirt and swallow cigarette smoke.

(Dan Tri Newspaper) - The cause of the incident has been identified as a conflict between two male students named T. and D. T., along with another male student two years older, forced D. to eat dirt and swallow cigarette smoke.

On October 23, the Department of Education and Training of Nam Dan district (Nghe An province) submitted a report to the Nghe An Provincial Department of Education and Training regarding the incident of a male student being forced to eat dirt.

According to a verification report from the Department of Education and Training of Nam Dan district, the male student who was threatened and forced to eat dirt in the video circulating on social media is VHD (9th grade, Anh Xuan Secondary School, Nam Dan district).

The people who threatened and forced D. to eat dirt were NVT (9th grade, Anh Xuan Secondary School) and PTN (11th grade, Mai Hac De High School, Nam Dan district, T.'s friend).

T. was also the one who filmed the incident and sent the video to many people.

There was a pre-existing conflict between T. and D. On the evening of October 19th, T. and N. forced D. to eat dirt, made him smoke two cigarettes, and made him swallow the smoke.

In this report, the head of the Education and Training Department of Nam Dan district stated that after discovering the video circulating online, Anh Xuan Secondary School directly reported the matter to the Department and local authorities.

The Department of Education and Training of Nam Dan district, in coordination with the district police, directed the police of Nam Xuan commune (where student D. lives) and Nam Anh commune (where students T. and N. live) along with the school to verify the incident. The principal and teachers of Anh Xuan Secondary School visited student D.'s home to offer encouragement and support.

Student VHD was taken to a medical facility by his family for a health check. On the morning of October 23rd, the male student went to school to study.

The incident is currently being investigated by the Nam Dan District Police.

As Dan Tri newspaper reported, on the afternoon of October 22nd, a 2-minute video of a male student being forced to eat dirt was shared via social media messages.

According to the video, a male student was threatened and forced to eat dirt by two other people. The two men repeatedly urged him to eat, threatening him to swallow the dirt. Under their threats, the student was forced to eat two handfuls of dirt.
