On the morning of April 14th, GSM – part of the Vingroup ecosystem owned by billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong – announced the rebranding of its products from Xanh SM to Green SM to unify the brand image across the entire system. This move is part of an overall strategy to expand the ecosystem globally, connect across borders, and also marks a significant milestone: GSM's 3rd anniversary of official operation.

Alongside the name change, Green SM also officially launched a new, user-friendly, modern, minimalist version of its application, optimizing the user experience and allowing it to be used across all countries where GSM operates.
The app integrates AI technology, supporting personalized itineraries and real-time data updates, providing a seamless and uninterrupted experience for users when using the service in different countries.
In Vietnam, GSM officially launched its four-digit hotline number 1555, replacing the previous 1900 2088 number. Additionally, Green SM continues to support customers in hailing rides on the street, making service access easier for everyone.
GSM has also officially expanded its Platform sharing economy model to its first two international markets: Indonesia and the Philippines. With this model, individuals and local businesses owning VinFast electric cars can participate in the ecosystem, operate according to common standards, and generate a stable income.
According to GSM, the Platform sharing economy model has been tested in Vietnam, and the results show that it optimizes operating costs for drivers and partners, thereby accelerating and facilitating the transition to electric vehicles and greening urban transportation.

Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, Global CEO of GSM, stated: “Green SM always aims to establish a consistent brand standard across all markets, expanding access to the highest quality services for all customers, overcoming conventional geographical limitations through technology and excellent service experiences. This is also the foundation for us to continue developing our ecosystem, expanding cooperation opportunities, and promoting green transformation in all our host countries.”
After three years of official operation, Green SM has become the largest all-electric transportation platform in Southeast Asia, present in four countries including Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia, and the Philippines, with a total of over 186,000 electric cars and motorcycles in operation.
Within three years, the Green SM ecosystem completed 620 million trips, covering a total distance of 4.2 billion km, contributing to a reduction of 580,000 tons of CO₂, equivalent to the absorption capacity of 27 million trees per year. Green SM also provides stable jobs for hundreds of thousands of drivers, supporting nearly 100 transport businesses and 11 bus companies in their transition to environmentally friendly operating models. The pioneering Green Alliance Frontier initiative, launched by GSM, has attracted over 400 business partners from various sectors, creating a strong ecosystem that supports each other on their journey to expand globally. |
