Building a model for preserving intangible cultural heritage of ethnic minorities

The Project to Support the Construction of an Eco-Museum Model to Preserve Intangible Cultural Heritage in Ethnic Minority Communities, Aiming at Community Development and Tourism Development, has just been approved by Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Dao Cuong in the Decision approving the investment policy.

Accordingly, the Project will be implemented in the provinces of Bac Giang , Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Quang Binh and Kon Tum.

The Project aims to restore, preserve and promote the traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities in typical intangible cultural heritages; renovate and upgrade community living spaces in villages to enhance cultural enjoyment for ethnic minorities, meet the aspirations of local people, associated with the development of community tourism, contributing to promoting local socio -economic development.

To implement, management agencies will conduct surveys, establish and build pilot models; establish the content of the Eco-Museum; develop plans to organize, operate and operate the Eco-Museum associated with community tourism.

According to the Decision, the project implementation period is in 2025 (completed before December 31, 2025). The units receiving the project after completion are villages and hamlets through the establishment of Cooperatives to receive the project and carry out the operation and maintenance of the ecological museum.

The project includes 5 component projects: Component project 01 - Ban Ngam, Son Dien commune, Quan Son district, Thanh Hoa province; Component project 02 - Ban Long Thang, Hanh Dich commune, Que Phong district, Nghe An province; Component project 03 - Ban Cay Su, Truong Son commune, Quang Ninh district, Quang Binh province; Component project 04 - Bac Hoa village, Tan Son commune, Luc Ngan district, Bac Giang province; Component project 05 - Kon Vong Kia village, Mang Den town, Kon Plong district, Kon Tum province.
