The roadmap to build Thach Ha town ( Ha Tinh ) to reach type IV urban area is one of the criteria contributing to bringing Thach Ha district to meet advanced new rural standards by the end of 2024.
On the afternoon of June 13, the Standing Committee of Thach Ha District Party Committee met to listen to and give opinions on the Project to build Thach Ha town to basically reach the status of a type IV urban area by 2025.
According to the criteria for classifying type IV urban areas based on Resolution No. 26/2022/UBTVQH15 approved on September 21, 2022 by the National Assembly Standing Committee, Thach Ha town has only 1 criterion met (non- agricultural labor rate); the remaining 4 criteria have not been met (including location, function, role, structure and level of socio-economic development; population size; population density; level of infrastructure development and architecture, urban landscape). Through survey and evaluation, Thach Ha town achieved 62.00 points/100.00 points according to the standards of type IV urban areas (minimum requirement is 75.0 points).
Therefore, Thach Ha town needs to have synchronous solutions and mechanisms to implement construction and renovation projects to basically meet the criteria for a type IV urban area by 2025.
Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee Nguyen Van Thang suggested focusing on solutions to implement criteria and standards that have not been met or are difficult to implement.
The project to build Thach Ha town to basically reach the level of a type IV urban area by 2025 aims to meet the requirements of sustainable socio-economic development, ensuring social security associated with the preservation of historical and cultural relics. In addition, it aims to improve the quality of life of urban residents, build technical and social infrastructure, and gradually modernize landscape architecture; ensure synchronization and connection according to the approved plans of the province, district and Ha Tinh city.
Vice Chairman of Thach Ha District People's Committee Nguyen Ba Ha said that it is necessary to have a more detailed and specific planning framework to implement the Project to build Thach Ha town to basically reach type IV urban status by 2025.
At the conference, delegates focused on discussing and giving comments on the contents of the project. Concluding the meeting, District Party Secretary Nguyen Thi Nguyet affirmed that the development and promulgation of the project is an important and necessary task. The roadmap for building Thach Ha town to become a type IV urban area is one of the criteria contributing to bringing Thach Ha district to the advanced NTM standard by the end of 2024, at the same time, implementing the breakthrough according to the Resolution of the 30th District Party Congress.
To effectively implement this project, the People's Committee of Thach Ha district needs to resolutely implement projects that are decisive to the construction of the town such as: completing the announcement of the adjusted planning of Thach Ha town; focusing on implementing the town urban sub-project funded by AFD; proactively and cooperatively promoting and completing tasks to attract the commercial service area project of VSIP Group and implementing the Ngo Quyen road project - part of the North-South expressway project; focusing on site clearance for project works in the town.
