2026 AFC U23 Championship Qualifiers Rankings: Vietnam U23 temporarily tops Group C

On September 6, coach Kim Sang-sik and his team will play the second match against U23 Singapore at Viet Tri Stadium ( Phu Tho ), while U23 Yemen will meet U23 Bangladesh.

Commenting on the opponents in Group C, coach Kim Sang-sik said that the similarity in level between the four teams promises to create a competitive group.

“I watched the teams compete. The most important thing is the physical condition, because the hot weather affects the players a lot when they have to compete for 90 minutes.

The four teams are quite similar in level, so we have to prepare carefully for each match," said the player born in 1976.
