On the evening of September 5, the organizing committee of V-League 2025-2026 announced the postponement of the Hoang Anh Gia Lai - Cong An Ha Noi match at Pleiku Stadium in round 4 from September 21 to December 18.

The reason given by the tournament organizers was at the request of the two clubs and to facilitate the Hanoi Police Club to participate in international tournaments.

Because in addition to the domestic arena, Hanoi Police Club also competes in the 2025-2026 Southeast Asian Club Championship and the 2025-2026 AFC Champions League Two with a fairly dense travel schedule.

According to the schedule, Hanoi Police Club is in Group E and will play the opening match of AFC Champions League Two 2025-2026 against host Beijing Guoan (China) on September 18.

Returning to Vietnam, coach Alexandre Polking's team will fly to Pleiku to play against Hoang Anh Gia Lai Club in round 4 of V-League 2025-2026 on September 21.

Immediately after that, Hanoi Police Club returned to Hanoi to host Dynamic Herb Cebu Club (Philippines) in the 2025-2026 Southeast Asian Club Championship at Hang Day Stadium on September 24.

That means within just 1 week, Hanoi Police Club will play 3 matches in 3 different locations. Quang Hai and his teammates only have 1 day to travel and rest and 1 day to practice to prepare for each match. An extremely terrible density.

Not to mention, Hanoi Police Club will also have a guest match at Nam Dinh Club's field in round 5 of V-League 2025-2026 on September 28.

That is the reason why the police team had to postpone the schedule of round 4 of V-League and was agreed by Hoang Anh Gia Lai Club and the tournament organizers.

Hanoi Police Club is currently second to last in Group A of the 2025-2026 Southeast Asian Club Championship after losing 1-2 to BG Pathum United (Thailand) in the opening match on August 20.

In V-League 2025-2026, Hanoi Police Club is currently ranked 2nd with 7 points after 3 matches, 2 points behind Ninh Binh Club. Meanwhile, Hoang Anh Gia Lai Club has only 1 point, standing second to last on the rankings.
