Consider and select applications for the title "Folk Artist"

On the morning of June 11, in Ha Long City, the Quang Ninh Folk Arts Association reviewed and selected applications for the title of "Folk Artist" in 2025.

In this selection round, the Quang Ninh Folk Arts Association received 16 applications for the title of “Folk Artist”. Among them, there are artists practicing the traditional Then ritual of the Tay people, the art of performing Soong Co singing of the San Chi people, the art of performing Pa Dung folk singing of the Dao Thanh Phan people, the art of performing ancient Cheo singing of the Vietnamese people, and the art of performing Soong Co singing of the San Diu people in Quang Ninh.

After a period of serious work, the Council has selected 9 applications to propose the Vietnam Folk Arts Association to confer the title of Vietnam Folk Artist in 2025. Up to now, Quang Ninh has a total of 73 people conferred the title of Vietnam Folk Artist.
