Loc Binh commune was established on the basis of merging 3 communes: Dong Buc, Khanh Xuan, Huu Khanh and Loc Binh town of the old Loc Binh district. After the merger, the whole commune had a total of 31 households supported to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, of which 29 were newly built and 2 were repaired. To continue implementing this program, immediately after the merger, the commune established a Steering Committee (SC) to implement the program to support the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses.
Ms. Hoang Thi Na, Deputy Head of the Department of Culture and Society of Loc Binh Commune, member of the Steering Committee for the program to support the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in the commune, said: As soon as the commune started operating, we urgently reviewed and grasped the implementation situation; organized guidance, inspection, and urged the organization of the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in the areas and villages. As of early August 2025, 31/31 houses had started construction, of which 28/31 houses had been completed (an increase of 7 houses compared to early July 2025). The remaining houses were about 90% completed.
In Van Linh commune, the locality was established on the basis of merging 3 communes: Van Linh, Y Tich, Hoa Binh of the old Chi Lang district. After the merger, the whole commune had a total of 61 households supported to build new and repair houses. Mr. Hoang Trong Diep, Deputy Head of the Department of Culture and Society of Van Linh commune said: After merging the commune, we immediately started to count, urge the implementation of projects and propagate and mobilize people from all walks of life to participate in support. By the beginning of August 2025, 100% of the projects had started construction and repair; of which 53/61 houses were completed, an increase of 9 houses compared to the beginning of July 2025; the remaining 8 houses (newly built) were also about 90% completed.
According to the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, as of early August 2025, the whole province had started construction and repair of 6,508/6,508 houses under the program, reaching 100%, an increase of 14 houses compared to mid-July 2025. Of which, the total number of completed and put into use was 5,578 houses, reaching 86%, an increase of 872 houses compared to mid-July 2025.
Mr. Lang Van Hien, Head of the Policy Department, Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, said: After merging administrative units, although performing many tasks at the same time, the communes have made efforts to promote previous experiences to implement this program. Specifically, implementing the direction of the Provincial Steering Committee, the Steering Committees of wards and communes have resolutely implemented with the spirit of "6 clear": clear people, clear work, clear responsibility, clear authority, clear time and clear results. During the implementation process, the Provincial Steering Committee and the grassroots regularly exchanged information, grasped the situation, inspected, and guided the removal of difficulties and obstacles, ensuring continuity and not interrupting the implementation of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses, striving to achieve the set plan's goals.
Through this, it helps families soon have a solid, safe house to stabilize their lives. Mr. Lang Van Thuan, residing in Ga area, Dong Dang commune, shared: My family used to live in a cramped, degraded, unsafe level 4 house. Recently, we were supported with 60 million VND to rebuild the house under the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses. My family was very excited and contributed more to rebuild the house. The project started in March 2025 and is now nearly completed, with a total area of 72m². During the process of completing procedures and documents for construction, the family was interested in creating favorable conditions for the commune government. I find this a very meaningful program for a family like ours.
Currently, the houses are being completed according to the program, the volume has reached about 90% and the province strives to complete the program to support the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses by August 15. With great efforts and determination of the entire political system, especially mobilizing the combined strength of the communes and wards after the merger, the program has been ensuring the set progress, helping families soon have solid houses to stabilize their lives.
