“Over the past six months, the management agency has blocked more than 30,000 accounts and used AI algorithms to remove tens of thousands of pieces of violating content on Facebook, Tiktok, and Youtube. However, the recurrence of the situation is still complicated.”
Director of the Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information, Mr. Le Quang Tu Do said so within the framework of the regular press conference of the second quarter of 2025 organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, taking place this afternoon, July 24, in Hanoi.
In particular, leaders of the management agencies under the Ministry also answered many hot issues of the industry recently, including content related to the handling of artists using banned substances, the ship capsizing incident in Ha Long Bay...
A series of painful problems
Recently, online fraud has been increasing rapidly in both scale and sophistication. Notably, the appearance of fake accounts of businesses, government agencies, and celebrities on social networking platforms such as Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube has shown signs of increasing with many sophisticated tricks, causing many people to lose money unjustly, even go bankrupt.
According to authorities, this phenomenon has emerged strongly in the past three years and has become an organized form of fraud, even transnational.
Director Le Quang Tu Do said that to prevent the increasingly sophisticated problem of fraud in cyberspace, the authorities have implemented many drastic measures. Among them, technical measures have been deployed to track and remove fake accounts. Three popular social networking platforms, Facebook, YouTube and TikTok, have also been asked to tighten their AI algorithms to scan and remove violating accounts.
Although the authorities have intervened and implemented strong preventive measures, Mr. Le Quang Tu Do said that technical measures are only temporary, the long-term and sustainable solution is still to improve the "resistance" of each citizen to the increasingly sophisticated problem of online fraud.
Faced with the reality of performing arts participants and artists involved in drug use scandals, Deputy Director of the Department of Performing Arts, Mr. Tran Huong Duong, said that the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has issued a Code of Conduct to remind artists to be responsible for maintaining their image and professional ethics. However, any individual who violates the law will be dealt with by law.
Mr. Tran Huong Duong emphasized: “The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Department of Performing Arts have the view that anyone who violates the law must be punished strictly and according to regulations. There are no forbidden zones, no preferential treatment for anyone.”
“The code of conduct issued by the Ministry is also based on legal regulations to raise awareness among performing arts professionals. Decree 38 specifically deals with violations of performing arts. In addition, artists and celebrities need to be aware of protecting their image, have a healthy lifestyle and be responsible for their careers.”
Regarding the incident of the ship Vinh Xanh 58 capsized in Ha Long Bay last week, the Chief of the Ministry's Office, Mr. Cao Le Tuan Anh, said that this was a natural disaster, a rare case of force majeure and an accident that no one wanted.
Mr. Cao Le Tuan Anh expressed: “I was born and raised in Quang Ninh so I know that storms at sea are very difficult to predict. We all feel the pain of our compatriots, and the pain of the victims. However, we should not panic and affect tourism - a key economic sector. We want everyone to have an objective view and assessment. In the world, cruise tourism is popular and safe.”
According to industry leaders, in this incident, the locality also responded quickly and responsibly by focusing on troubleshooting and developing a communication plan to maintain tourists' love for the sea and bay.
“After the recent unfortunate incident, we need to increase propaganda, not be negligent and subjective about tourism activities at sea and in bays… It is necessary to complete the safety procedures when traveling at sea and in bays. Just like when boarding an airplane, there is a safety procedure, so is it necessary to issue the same procedure when boarding a ship,” Mr. Cao Le Tuan Anh emphasized.
Regarding this content, Deputy Director of the National Tourism Administration Pham Van Thuy said that the whole industry has also implemented the motto of proactive prevention, timely response and effective overcoming of natural disasters and risks. In localities, handling is always carried out according to the motto of "four on-site" including: On-site command, on-site forces, on-site means and supplies and on-site logistics.
Four important tasks for the last 6 months of the year
In order to implement key tasks for the last 6 months of 2025, the leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism requested to focus on implementing four key groups of tasks.
The main task is to focus on improving the effectiveness of policy communication, raising awareness, creating consensus among the people, in order to convey the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws and policies to the people. Communication must be one step ahead, making an important contribution to transforming awareness into action, bringing the Party's Resolution into real life.
Implementing important activities and events of the country: The Ministry is assigned to preside over the organization of a series of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2. This is not only an important occasion to organize cultural and sports programs but also an opportunity to stimulate tourism, attract domestic and foreign visitors, spread traditional values associated with the quintessence of human culture and contemporary art, meeting the increasingly high enjoyment needs of the people.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Department of Tourism proactively coordinate, redefine typical products, and build a clear tour system and regional connection routes.
In particular, it is necessary to promote creative forms of promotion such as promoting tourism through cinema. The fact that international film crews are surveying in Hai Phong, Ninh Binh... is a good opportunity to spread and promote the image of Vietnam globally. The whole industry needs to join in with the highest determination, striving to complete the goal of welcoming 25 million international visitors in 2025 as directed by the Prime Minister.
The Department Directors proactively follow 10 key international markets (Korea, China, Japan, the US, Australia, Europe, Southeast Asia, India, the Middle East, Russia), actively advise on solutions to connect markets, promote real and sustainable growth to touch the emotions of tourists.
Along with tourism development, the cultural industry needs to be promoted with a focus on the performing arts sector; building large-scale, modern art programs with creative imprints, inheriting the success of events such as "Anh trai Say Hi", "Anh trai vu ngan cong gai".../.
