Official dispatch No. 3913/BVHTTDL-VP signed by Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Trinh Thi Thuy stated that in recent days, storm No. 3 (storm Yagi) with very strong intensity has swept into the northern provinces of our country. The storm has left behind very serious consequences, many people need support and help.
Promoting the tradition of "mutual love", "a piece when hungry is worth a package when full", responding to the call of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has launched a campaign to all cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers of agencies and units under the Ministry to join hands in donating to support people in provinces and cities that suffered serious damage caused by the storm, with a minimum donation of 1 day's salary per person.

However, on September 12, 2024, social networks spread information related to the results of statistics on the amount of money donated to people affected by storms and floods, including the information "Central Circus donated 10k" (10 thousand VND).
This is distorted and untrue information, spread in the context of people across the country turning to the northern provinces with practical actions, causing negative impacts on the Culture, Sports and Tourism sector.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism reported and requested the Central Propaganda Department, the Ministry of Public Security , the Ministry of Information and Communications, and the Office of the Central Steering Committee 35 to coordinate in verifying the subject posting false information on social networks and handling it according to the provisions of law.
