Gold rings approach 128 million VND/tael, gold bars remain stable

(GLO)- On the morning of September 2, the price of gold rings continued to increase, approaching the 128 million VND/tael mark, the highest in history. Meanwhile, gold bars continued to maintain a stable price for the second consecutive day.

Specifically, this morning, businesses simultaneously listed the price of gold rings, which increased compared to yesterday. Bao Tin Minh Chau is currently buying at 124.7 million VND/tael and selling at 127.7 million VND/tael. Mi Hong is trading both ways at 123.5-125 million VND/tael; Phu Quy is at 124.3-127.3 million VND/tael; SJC is buying at 122.5 million VND and selling at 125.1 million VND/tael; PNJ is buying at 122.5 million VND/tael and selling at 125.4 million VND. DOJI is also trading gold rings at a high price with both ways at 124.5-127.5 million VND/tael.

As for the gold bar market, today is the second consecutive day of stability after soaring to 130.6 million VND in the selling price. Currently, businesses are keeping the average buying price at 129.1 million VND/tael. Some businesses such as Bao Tin Minh Chau listed the buying price at a lower level of 128.6 million VND/tael; while Mi Hong kept the buying price at a high level of 129.8 million VND/tael.

According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 4:00 a.m. on September 2, Vietnam time, was 3,474.51 USD/ounce, an increase of 25.14 USD/ounce compared to yesterday. Converted according to the USD exchange rate at Vietcombank (26,502 VND/USD), the world gold price is about 111.12 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the gold bar price is 19.47 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.
