On April 16, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued a decision to administratively fine the owner of the Black Pearl cruise ship, registration number QN-6699, VND12.5 million for administrative violations in the field of sports while playing pickleball on the deck.

During a save, a man jumped off the court on the deck and into the sea. Many people who saw the video expressed concern about the safety of this sport on a cruise ship operating in the middle of the ocean.

The decision to impose a fine by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism demonstrates Quang Ninh province’s determination to deal with negative behaviors such as price gouging and opportunistic business practices, which have negatively affected the experience and safety of tourists and the image of local tourism. Through this, Quang Ninh province affirms its efforts to ensure a safe and healthy tourism business environment, while contributing to improving the quality of services in Ha Long Bay in particular and the province in general.
