Secretary of Yen Chau District Youth Union, Vi Thi Dong, said: The whole district has more than 4,000 youth union members. Looking forward to the historic August days, the District Youth Union focuses on nurturing and educating the youth union members about revolutionary ideals, ethics, and lifestyles, through organizing trips to red addresses, historical revolutionary sites, such as the Vietnam - Laos revolutionary relic site in Lao Kho village. In coordination with Chieng Tuong Border Guard Station, Chieng On Border Guard Station organized the journey "I love my Fatherland", with the theme "Propaganda about the sea and islands, land borders" at border markers; met and exchanged with Chau Yen female militia; cleaned, planted flowers and trees at historical sites, the district's martyrs' cemetery, and memorial steles in the area...
These days, the youth of Chieng Khoi commune are taking part in the programs "Volunteer Saturday", "Green Sunday", "Peak day of volunteering to join hands in building new rural areas", building a civilized lifestyle, protecting the environment, and preserving the landscape in the commune. At the national scenic area of Chieng Khoi lake, Put village, more than 20 youth union members participated in dredging canals and sewers; collecting and disposing of waste in designated places. In addition, more than 100 trees were planted, turning "black spots" of waste into flower gardens, creating a green, clean, and beautiful landscape.
Ms. Lu Thi Huong, Secretary of the Chieng Khoi Commune Youth Union, said: The practical actions of the Youth Union members have a positive impact on people's awareness of protecting the environment and preserving living space. In addition to the youth volunteer movement to join hands in building new rural areas, the Commune Youth Union has promoted propaganda and education on revolutionary traditions, patriotism, national pride and self-respect for the Youth Union members through the Youth Union's activities, organizing exchange programs, and meetings with veterans and prestigious people in the village.
In Chieng Sang commune, promoting the spirit of volunteerism, the Youth Union actively participated in supporting the transportation of the entire stilt house frame to the site to build a house to preserve, maintain and promote the values of the Thai ethnic group in the commune. Youth Union member Quang Van Quyet shared: Volunteer activities have a wide-reaching influence, helping the Youth Union members to be more aware of the responsibility of youth towards the work of the Union, contributing to the development of the locality; especially protecting, promoting and preserving the identity of ethnic groups.
Since the beginning of the year, the Youth Union of Yen Chau district has mobilized more than 1,000 youth union members to clean up the village roads; repair and renew 2km of rural roads; plant nearly 900 trees, renovate and take care of 5 flower and vegetable gardens for youth; organize 15 activities to collect and treat spontaneous waste points, and prevent and combat plastic waste. In addition, the District Youth Union has coordinated with specialized agencies to advise and support the processing of records and administrative procedures for 30 individuals and businesses; support the issuance of citizen identification cards and activation of electronic identification accounts for more than 11,700 people.
In addition, the youth of Yen Chau district also promoted the economic development movement. Extensively implemented the "Youth Start-up" program, guided and supported the transfer of science and technology; created conditions for more than 1,700 youth households to borrow over 88 billion VND from the Social Policy Bank for economic development; donated more than 1,000 plants of various kinds to young people starting businesses and establishing businesses in the district; provided career counseling and guidance to more than 2,000 high school students in the area...
