On the show El Partidazo de Cope , when asked about the possibility of winning the Ballon d'Or, Yamal frankly said: "I don't think much about winning the Ballon d'Or. I just want to enjoy football, play well and if that award comes, it will come."
Yamal is set to face off against Ballon d'Or contender Ousmane Dembele. The young talent humorously said: "I will vote for the best player of the year, but if you want to decide on Thursday, then we will decide on Thursday (Spain faces France in the Nations League on June 6)".
Dembele is currently the most highly regarded. The Ballon d'Or usually goes to the player who wins a major club trophy in a season without a World Cup or Euros. And Dembele was central to PSG's historic quadruple this season.
When asked about the possibility of playing for Real Madrid in the future, Yamal firmly stated: "I join Real Madrid? No, that's impossible."
