Yen Bai has a new Provincial Party Secretary

Mr. Tran Huy Tuan

On the morning of November 6, the Yen Bai Provincial Party Executive Committee Conference elected Mr. Tran Huy Tuan as Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee with 100% of the delegates present in favor. Mr. Tuan assumed the new position, replacing Mr. Do Duc Duy, who was approved by the National Assembly to be appointed as Minister of Natural Resources and Environment in August.

Mr. Tuan is 50 years old, from Van Yen district, Yen Bai province; has a degree in irrigation engineering, a bachelor's degree in political economics, and a master's degree in economics of natural resources and environment.

Before being elected as Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Tuan held many positions in Yen Bai such as Chief of Office of the Provincial People's Committee; Secretary of the Van Yen District Party Committee; Chairman of the Van Yen District People's Council; Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
