The above content was emphasized by the Ministry of Education and Training in its official document guiding the implementation of secondary education tasks for the 2024-2025 school year.

Accordingly, the Ministry of Education and Training has noted several specific issues regarding the testing and evaluation of the Literature subject. Secondary and high schools should avoid using texts and excerpts already studied in textbooks as materials for assessing reading comprehension and writing skills in periodic tests.

The Ministry of Education and Training's request aims to address the problem of students merely memorizing lessons or copying pre-existing material.

The Ministry also requires that assessments be conducted in accordance with regulations, not exceeding the program's learning objectives, and that periodic checks and assessments be strengthened through practical exercises and learning projects.

Schools need to strengthen the development of question banks and test matrices based on the learning objectives of the subject curriculum; prepare 9th-grade students to familiarize themselves with the orientation of the entrance exam for 10th grade, and 12th-grade students to familiarize themselves with the orientation of the high school graduation exam.

Regarding the use of reference publications, the Ministry of Education and Training notes that schools should direct subject departments and teachers to strictly control the content, ensuring that reference publications containing content that violates Vietnam's maritime sovereignty , cultural traditions, and customs are not used in teaching.

In addition to the above points, the guidance document from the Ministry of Education and Training also notes several other issues such as effectively implementing teaching methods and forms; improving the quality of career guidance and vocational orientation; and strengthening the conditions for ensuring the quality of secondary education.

The Ministry also instructed the Departments of Education and Training to continue innovating in education management. Specifically, local education departments need to proactively review and advise the Provincial People's Committee to submit to the Provincial People's Council resolutions stipulating local policies to ensure the conditions for implementing the 2018 General Education Program.

Regarding emulation and reward activities, the Ministry of Education and Training requests that the Departments of Education and Training direct secondary education institutions to effectively implement reward and disciplinary measures for the progress of students.

The awarding of prizes must be carried out in accordance with regulations, fairly, openly, transparently, and promptly, creating inspiration and motivation for students to strive for excellence.

In addition, positive disciplinary measures need to be strengthened to cultivate students' sense of discipline and responsibility towards themselves, their teachers, friends, family, and community.
