Seven out of eight stadiums used at the 2022 World Cup will be used to host matches at the 2023 Asian Cup. The only stadium not used is Stadium 974, which was a temporary stadium and was demolished right after the biggest football festival on the planet in Qatar.
Of the 9 stadiums used at the 2023 Asian Cup, Lusial Stadium is the stadium with the largest capacity of nearly 89,000 seats. This will be the venue for 2 matches including the opening match between the host team Qatar and the Lebanese team on January 12. The second match held at Lusial Stadium is the final match on February 10.
For the Vietnamese team, coach Philippe Troussier and his team will compete on 3 different football fields in 3 group stage matches. The first match against Japan will be held at Al Thumama Stadium, the second match against Indonesia will be held at Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium and the final group stage match against Iraq will be held at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.
