100% of medical facilities in Can Tho deploy electronic medical records

According to the Can Tho City Department of Health, up to now, 61/61 medical facilities with beds in the area have announced the implementation of electronic medical records. Of these, 43 are public medical facilities, 5 are central hospitals and 13 are non-public hospitals.

Accordingly, electronic medical records will help medical facilities reduce paperwork, save time for medical staff and patients; increase transparency; ensure accurate, timely and connected medical information.

Up to now, Can Tho health sector has completed the construction of the structure and operation of the health sector data portal: Health sector human resource management, management of statistical indicators, application of AI in synthesizing reporting data, application of AI in warning of abnormal data; management of disease maps.

With a shared database, it will synthesize medical information in the area such as human resources, finance, equipment, number of medical examinations and treatments, infectious disease cases... thereby reducing statistical and reporting work, helping leaders quickly grasp information and prioritize resources.

Despite many difficulties, the Can Tho City health sector has completed the implementation of electronic medical records, this is the effort of medical staff and leaders of medical facilities throughout the area. The Can Tho health sector strives to pay health insurance by electronic medical records, aiming for a paperless hospital by the end of 2025.
