132 students of Nguyen Hue Secondary School exchanged and experienced traditional art

(GLO)- On the afternoon of October 16, Gia Lai Traditional Arts Theater coordinated with Nguyen Hue Secondary School (Quy Nhon Nam Ward) to organize a program to exchange and experience traditional arts in schools in 2025.

At the program, 132 students of Nguyen Hue Secondary School were introduced to two traditional theatrical art forms of the province by officers, artists and actors of the Provincial Traditional Arts Theater: Tuong art and Bai Choi opera.

The atmosphere of the exchange session became lively when the students watched a special performance, including an excerpt from the Tuong play “Quang Trung ascends to the throne” and folk Bai Choi singing. In particular, the experience of painting Tuong masks received the interest of many students.

The program is part of a coordination plan between the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Department of Education and Training to implement a program of studying and educating traditional Tuong and Bai Choi theatrical arts in and out of school, period 2023-2026.

This is also a vivid visual supplementary activity for the content of local educational materials in the general education program in the province in 2025; contributing to promoting traditional culture, fostering students' love and responsibility in preserving and promoting traditional arts of the nation.

It is known that on October 17 and 18, students of Le Hong Phong Secondary School and Dong Da Secondary School (Quy Nhon Ward) will also participate in the exchange program and experience traditional arts.
