At around 7am on October 14, Mr. Phan Van H. (63 years old, residing in Vinh Thuan village, Phu My Bac commune) went to cut grass and clear acacia shoots in the field near his house. When he did not return in the evening, his family organized a search but found no results, so they reported it to the local authorities.

On the night of October 14, the People's Committee of Phu My Bac commune directed the Commune Military Command to coordinate with the Commune Police and security forces to organize the search.
At about 8:50 a.m. on October 15, the force discovered Mr. H. lying at the bottom of an abandoned well in an acacia plantation in Tan Oc village (Phu My Bac commune). The well was about 12 meters deep, the mouth of the well was only more than 1 meter wide, and was covered by trees, making it difficult to recognize.
Due to the difficult terrain, the local force did not have specialized vehicles, so the Commune Police contacted the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Area No. 4 (Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, Gia Lai Provincial Police) for support.

At around 11am the same day, the victim was brought safely to the ground and transferred to Bong Son Regional General Hospital (Gia Lai) for emergency treatment. Mr. H.'s health is now out of danger.

On the afternoon of October 15, the People's Committee of Phu My Bac commune organized a surprise commendation ceremony for the forces participating in the search and rescue, praising the collective Military Command of the commune for their sense of responsibility and timely rescue.
