On the morning of December 12, in Hanoi, the National Committee for Standards, Metrology and Quality (Ministry of Science and Technology) held a press conference to award the National Quality Award and the Asia- Pacific International Quality Award 2021 - 2023.
Speaking at the Press Conference, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Le Xuan Dinh said: After 28 years of establishment and development, the National Quality Award has attracted special attention and created prestige for organizations, businesses, management agencies as well as consumers in society; honoring outstanding businesses, maintaining comprehensive stability and affirming their competitive position not only in the domestic market but also reaching the international level, thanks to the process of efforts to improve the management system towards optimization and sustainable development.
To date, 2,163 enterprises have won the National Quality Award. Of these, 332 enterprises have won the Gold Award, and 139 enterprises have received Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister. Notably, among the Vietnamese enterprises that have won the National Quality Award, 55 outstanding enterprises have been honored at the international level and awarded the Asia-Pacific Quality Award (GPEA).

Deputy Minister Le Xuan Dinh hopes that the business community, agencies, units and individuals will continue to support, participate and accompany the National Quality Award, contributing to bringing practical activities, commensurate with the prestige and history of the Award as well as effectively implementing the National Program "Supporting enterprises to improve productivity and quality of products and goods in the period of 2021 - 2030" approved by the Prime Minister in 2020, to promote productivity and quality activities, improve product quality and competitiveness of enterprises and the economy.
In the 3 years (2021 - 2023), businesses faced many difficulties and challenges, but businesses participating in the National Quality Award still achieved remarkable results. The estimated revenue of the award-winning businesses is more than 500 trillion VND; profit is more than 36 trillion VND; budget contribution is more than 32 trillion VND. Creating jobs for nearly 170 thousand workers. This is a very proud result.
From 2021 to 2023, the Prime Minister awarded the National Quality Award to 133 enterprises. Specifically, 61 enterprises (2021), 49 enterprises (2022) and 23 enterprises (2023).
