On November 26, at Tran Chi Dao Hall - Ho Chi Minh City National University (Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City), Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union in collaboration with Ho Chi Minh City National University organized the final round and awarded the 25th Euréka Student Scientific Research Award.

Accordingly, 178 best topics were awarded by the Organizing Committee. Including 14 First prizes, 14 Second prizes, 19 Third prizes and 131 Encouragement prizes.
The Euréka Student Scientific Research Award is an award for scientific research and creativity of students. Through the award, we create an environment to motivate and encourage students to be active in studying and scientific research, thereby proposing effective ideas, solutions, and new inventions that contribute to improving the quality of education and training and the development of the country.
The 25th Euréka Student Scientific Research Award 2023 was held from July to November 2023. The award attracted 1,509 topics from 134 universities, colleges, and academies in Ho Chi Minh City and other provinces and cities across the country. According to the assessment, the topics in the final round this year are topical, highly applicable, many research topics on hot social issues and some topics have technology transfer.

This year, the number of topics increased from 12 fields to 14 specific fields such as: pharmaceutical chemistry, medical science, biology, information technology, food technology, educational science, administration - law, economics , engineering technology, agricultural science, planning, architecture and construction, resources and environment, social sciences and culture - arts.
This year's Euréka Award final round saw the participation of 565 student authors and author groups of 178 excellent scientific topics selected from 14 fields, representing 81 participating universities, academies and colleges.
Speaking at the award ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Vu Hai Quan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Director of Ho Chi Minh City National University affirmed that over the past 25 years, the Euréka Student Scientific Research Award has not only been a scientific playground but also a place to nurture young talents, future scientists of the country.
“Since the first research projects, the award has witnessed a remarkable growth in the quantity and quality of research topics. This is not only reflected in the number of participating topics each year but also in the diversity and high applicability of the research projects,” Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Hai Quan emphasized.

More than 500 scientists, including Professors, Associate Professors, Doctors, and experts from universities, research institutes, departments, and businesses, have joined and participated in the scientific council. The council has worked impartially, objectively, and professionally assessed to select outstanding research topics for the award.
According to the assessment, some applied topics will be supported with funding to continue research, development, commercialization and application transfer.

This year, the final round was organized with many activities to create exchanges and connections between candidates. Accordingly, candidates were fed, stayed, and lived together for 4 days and participated in many activities such as: presenting topics to the Scientific Council; visiting key projects of Ho Chi Minh City; visiting historical sites of the city; participating in the Euréka student scientific research camp.
