This is an event in a series of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025); 80 years of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam People's Public Security (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025), 20 years of the National Day for National Security Protection (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2025).
The program "For a Peaceful Capital Festival" will be held at 7:30 a.m. on August 10, 2025 at the King Ly Thai To Monument area and Dinh Tien Hoang Street, Hoan Kiem Ward, Hanoi .
The program was attended by leaders of the Ministry of Public Security , a number of central ministries, departments and branches; representatives of leaders of professional departments and units under the Ministry of Public Security; representatives of leaders and former leaders of the city; Party Committee, Board of Directors of Hanoi City Police; officers and soldiers of Hanoi Police and a large number of people in the capital.
The program is organized to review and honor the 80-year tradition of building, fighting and glorious growth of the Vietnam People's Public Security force in general and the Hanoi City Public Security in particular; to widely propagate so that all classes of people are deeply aware of the core role of the People's Public Security force, the position, role and responsibility of the people in protecting national security, maintaining social order and safety; towards meaningful and practical political and social activities to celebrate the country's major holidays.
At the same time, the program contributes to educating the tradition of patriotism, national pride, and the will to contribute to cadres, soldiers and people; spreading the image of the Capital Police soldiers as "brave, humane, serving the people"; strengthening and consolidating the solidarity and coordination between the Hanoi City Police with departments, branches, unions, socio-political organizations and the people of the Capital, thereby improving the effectiveness of the movement "All people protect national security" right from the grassroots level.
The program “Festival for a Peaceful Capital” was carefully prepared by Hanoi City Police, with extremely rich, vivid and profound content; harmoniously combining art performances with two themes “Glory of 80 years of heroic Capital Police” and “Aspiration to contribute, for a peaceful Capital” along with reviewing the team, mass parade and specialized equipment and vehicles of the City Police.
The art performances feature the participation of many famous artists, such as: Meritorious Artist Lan Anh, singer Ho Ngoc Ha, singer Toc Tien, singer Noo Phuoc Thinh, singer Nguyen Tran Trung Quan, artists of the Vietnam Music and Dance Theater, and officers and soldiers of the Capital Police, promising to bring impressive, emotional and memorable experiences to the audience, arousing national pride and love for the Fatherland.
The special and impressive highlight of the program was the team review and mass parade with the participation of nearly 3,000 officers and soldiers representing units of the Hanoi Police and the people of the capital; 245 specialized motor vehicles of the professional forces of the City Police. Along with that were the groups performing martial arts of the People's Police with high level and technique, demonstrating the comprehensive combat capability, ready to respond to all situations of the Hanoi City Police.
The program not only promotes the beautiful, friendly, and people-friendly image of the Capital Police force, but also demonstrates the combined strength, affirms the discipline, eliteness, and modernity of the Hanoi Police in the new era, worthy of its position as a "steel shield", a "sword" to protect the Fatherland, protect the Party, protect the State, protect the peaceful life of the people; with the trust and expectations of the Party Committee, government, and people of the thousand-year-old capital.
