3 Vietnamese routes in top 10 busiest in Southeast Asia

On August 23, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam said that OAG Aviation, a global flight data provider, announced that in August, flights departing from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City filled more than 949,200 seats, leading the top 10 routes.

The number of seats on the Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City route surpasses many other domestic flights such as Jakarta - Makassar (Indonesia) with 569,500 seats, Jakarta - Bali with 473,200 seats, Cebu - Manila (Philippines) with 450,050 seats.

The Da Nang - Ho Chi Minh City route ranked 5th with more than 427,700 seats. The Da Nang - Hanoi route ranked 7th with more than 410,000 seats. In previous years, Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City was often in the top of the busiest domestic routes in the world .

The top 10 busiest domestic routes in Southeast Asia also include domestic routes in Indonesia such as Surabaya - Makassar, Jakarta - Medan, Jakarta - Surabaya and Davao - Manila in the Philippines.
