3 students buy materials to make fireworks

On January 5, according to information from the People's Committee of Cam Giang District ( Hai Duong ), this agency issued a decision to administratively fine VPD and D.MT (both 17 years old) each 7.5 million VND, and at the same time warned NVT (16 years old, both residing in Cam Doai Commune, Cam Giang District) for the act of illegally transporting and storing fireworks, firecrackers or raw materials and accessories for the production and manufacture of explosive fireworks.

Previously, at around 5:00 p.m. on December 19, 2023, while performing patrol and control duties in the area, the working group of Cam Doai Commune Police discovered 3 students D.MT, NVT and VPD, hiding some raw materials, suspected of being used to make firecrackers.

3 students and the evidence of materials for making firecrackers were brought to the police station.

Specifically, when checked by the authorities, these 3 male students were holding 3 plastic bags containing white powder, 2 plastic bags containing yellow powder, and 9 tightly rolled cylindrical paper rolls, hollow in the middle.

At the police station, the three male students confessed that the above ingredients were potassium chlorate, sodium benzoate and sulfur. All three had pooled money to buy these ingredients on social media, with the purpose of making firecrackers to light up for fun during the 2024 Lunar New Year.
